I am a software engineer in based in Colombo, Sri-Lanka 📍. Most of my day is backend, microservices, workflow orchestration, and the databases and infrastructure underneath but I came up full-stack and still build the frontend when it needs building including mobile app development.
AI won’t replace people who think, it will amplify the ones who do.
... is a principle I stand by. I learned to build software before AI could generate the next method for me; through documentation, experimentation, and countless searches through Stack Overflow. It gave me a strong appreciation for fundamentals, debugging, and understanding the systems behind the code. Now, I use AI as a force multiplier: accelerating development, challenging my assumptions, and helping me turn ideas into better products without replacing the thinking that makes them work.
What keeps me interested is the point where a messy problem starts becoming a clear, reliable system. I enjoy understanding how the pieces fit together, questioning the obvious solution, and building software that is not only functional, but maintainable, scalable, and genuinely useful. Whether I am designing a backend service, refining a workflow, or building an interface, I care about making the final product simpler for the humans who use it.
